There is some kind of crisis happened in Terengganu where the Prime Minister of Malaysia has appointed Idris Jusoh as Terengganu Mentri Besar(Chief Minister) and the palace appointed Ahmad Said.
Ahmad Said was told not to take office. However, he insists that he wanted to take this job and began the first day of work at Terengganu MB’s office at 8 am with heavy police presence and supporters gathering. There is no untoward incidents happened.
Malaysia PM Abdullah said that he will seek an audience with the King over the Terengganu MB(Chief Minister) issue as the matter needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
Normally, the palace would just accept the recommendation from the Prime Minister with regards to the appointment of MB(Chief Minister).
It had happened in Perlis, now is Terengganu. What is the real issue?
There are 23 state assemblymen staged an objection to the appointment of Ahmad Said being appointed by the palace.
No official ceremony has conducted. However, Ahmad Said has received the appointment letter from the palace.
This is a very interesting issue where the palace and the Prime Minister hold different opinion.
Idris Jusoh, the person who is favoured by the PM, says he is willing to accept any decision on MB post for the good of the people even if he is told to step aside by the PM or the King.
Umno information chief Muhd Taib says all state liaison committees want party elections to be held only in 2009 and the supreme council will decide on Thursday.
