Umno Supreme Council agrees to continue to support PM Abdullah. It will create plan to strengthen party to regain the trust of members and the people.
Umno Supreme Council has received and accepted Dr Mahathir’s resignation letter. DPM Najib says he hopes Dr M will rejoin Umno in the future.
Umno supreme council held a special meeting last night and Tun Dr. M’s resignation were among matters on the agenda. This was revealed by sec-gen Tengku Adnan Mansor before the meeting.
Former Kedah Umno treasurer Datuk Mokhzani Mahathir and former Kota Setar MP Dr Abdul Hadi Derani have joined the list of party members who have quit Umno.
On Wednesday night, two more joined the list.
They were Lubuk Kawah Umno branch chairman Anuar Zainon and Sik Pemuda Umno division vice-chief Abdul Razak Bahari. Lubuk Kawah is under the Kubang Pasu division.
