Ten foreign women, believed prostitutes arrested

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman police detained 10 foreign women, believed to be prostitutes, in a raid on a beauty salon in Jalan Kuchai Lama Friday night.

Nine customers were also detained in the raid, said ASP Khairi Anuar Rusli of Bukit Aman secret societies, gambling and anti-vice division (D7).

He said the premise caretaker, a Chinese national, was also detained in the raid at 10pm.

"Two days of intelligence work revealed that the beauty salon and spa was just a front as it also offered sex," he told reporters.

The women aged 20-30 years-old had abused their social visit passes while two did not have personal documents.

Khairi who led the raid said the nine customers detained were all Malaysian men aged 20-40 years old.

The beauty salon which had been operating since a year ago did not have licence and opened from noon until 1am. Bernama
