Dying man’s wish to visit the casino fulfilled
A MAN who was dying of lung cancer had a last wish – to go to the casino. It was fulfilled and he won RM460 before breathing his last.
Chen Ma De had relayed the wish to his daughter while undergoing treatment at the hospital, Sin Chew Daily and China Press reported.
His daughter said they arranged for an ambulance with life support system to send the ailing man to the casino.
“My mother and a nurse accompanied him. The casino management was also very caring and arranged for security guards and doctors to be on standby.
“They cleared the entire place and allowed my father to play the jackpot machine. He spent about an hour there and won S$200 (RM460) before returning to the hospital at noon on Thursday.
“At about 9pm the same day, we received a call from the hospital that he was in critical condition.
“By the time we arrived, he had passed away,” said the daughter.

The woman, known only as Wu, told reporters that her father became addicted to gambling some 10 years ago and he sold off their three-bedroom apartment to pay his debts.
