I have not been to Dr Mahathir's open house although I was a reporter for many years. My good friend, Huang Titt, once a senior reporter with Shin Min Daily News, accompanying me to Tun Dr. Mahathir's open house this year to wish him "selamat Hari Raya".
KC Goh(the blogger) greeted Tun Dr Mahathir "Selamat Hari Raya". KC used to cover Dr. M's news events. This is the first close encounter after he left the journalistic profession more then 10 years ago.
Thousand of people went to Tun's open house. He greeted everyone of us. I met Dato Yap Pian Hon, Tan Sri Michael Chen, Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, Dato Seri Kerk Choo Ting, Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.
Huang Titt, once covered Dr Mahathir's news almost daily. He was a senior reporter in his era, respected by his fellow journalists and politicians because of his indepth questioning skill and his impartial writing.

Dato Yap said there are more well-wishers this years compared to the previous years after Tun Mahathir's retired from politics.
