“五育”美德承传有人 193学子齐集大会堂光荣领奖

(槟城30日讯)第二届《光华日报》全国“五育奖”推行至今,已获得1万5000名学生参与,在周六的颁奖礼上,来自全马的193名得奖学生更是齐集槟州大会堂,共同宣扬德、智、体、群、美,传承五育灯火!
“五育”奖是一项获得马来西亚教育部认可,由《光华日报》主办,槟州华小校长理事会协办,台湾财团法人张荣发基金会和拿督斯里丘光宪所赞助的全国教育活动。
李兴前:推动社会道德义不容辞
光华日报总经理准拿督李兴前说,这项活动是为配合光华日报庆祝创刊100周年而举行,在2009年9月推介,经过7个月持续推展,终于来到颁奖礼阶段。
他表示,“五育”奖是项具富教育意义的活动,其内容侧重道德,所设有的赛项包括“一所学校 一个人物”推荐奖、“道德故事书创作”比赛、“道德图文剪辑”比赛、“道德与时事现场笔试”比赛和“美育征画”比赛。在过去本报也同时先后主办10场“道德讲座”,每场出席者都有上千人。
“在这道德日渐薄弱的今日,《光华日报》毅然肩负起振兴道德修养的活动,我们并不敢期待这项运动会使社会一夜改变,但作为一个文化事业机构,在推动对社会有意义的事是义不容辞。”
他希望学生可在潜移默化中,掌握正确的价值观,并把道德观念落实在生活,让社会充满真、善、美。
黄金山勉以五育作道德发展精神
台湾财团法人张荣发基金会总执行长黄金山说,创办人张荣发创立该基会目的主要是希望把道德更新,从台湾花莲推向世界。至今,该基金所发出的道德月刊已发行全球33个国家,一个月发行27万本。未来还会逐步向世界各地推展。
对于《光华日报》创刊100周年而筹办的系列“五育”奖活动,他深表感激,并预祝“五育”成功举行。他表示,就算在台湾也未有看到有如在槟城般,民众踊跃出席“五育”奖的盛大场面。
他说,“五育”奖的系列比赛,都是以道德月刊中的十二堂课中的基本理念和宗旨作为基础。
他认为,好的道德品质也是奠定良好未来社会发展的趋势,他勉励大马人民以“五育”作为道德发展精神,为国家付出贡献。他也赞扬大马学生的积极参与“五育”奖。
台财团法人张荣发基金会 赠逾万本道德月刊
他说,虽然远在台湾,但透过报章和媒体,台湾人民还是可掌握马来西亚群众的参与“五育”活动时盛况。
是次的活动上,该基金会总共也赠送了1万 2600本道德月刊予各校学生。
杨礼昭:齐扛五育千秋业 共迈人文万里程
赛会顾问杨礼昭高级校长说,我国教育哲理一向来都推崇平衡身心教育,这理念虽然简单,但却不易做到。尽管我国的道德教育科目已推行超过廿年,但都不能立竿见影,就因教材的不理想,课室里的启发不强,而招来批评。
她认为,巩固一个人的道德价值观,一定要在幼年就打下基石,所谓万丈高楼从地起,社会的健全与否,就要靠学校的人文教育。
“也因为如此,五育奖的设立,旨在凝聚各方力量,协助华小生从小建立起正确的价值观,进而提升社会的人文素质。”
她说,五育中常以“德”为首,这也是为何今年的“五育”奖的重点放在德育上。
她指出,“五育”奖中的所有比赛,都是强调学生品德,而这些学生作品也是教师和家长的好教材,透过真人真事和学生的表现能力,相信可更容易被其他学生所接受和学习。
她以《一所学校、一个人物》为例,学生可从中学习典范,并建立自己的将来目标和理想,有了目标,学生自然不会迷糊而失落走向歧途。
她认为,教育工作者应积极推动这项活动,以尽一分力。他相信,在《光华日报》的协助和带动下,这个华小生交流平台将会更广和特出。
致词上,杨礼昭高级校长还以 “齐扛五育千秋业,共迈人文万里程。”,以勉励“五育”奖更上一层楼。

诸位嘉宾和同学们,大家晚间好!
今晚是配合《光华日报》庆祝创刊100周年纪念而主办的第二届全国“五育”奖颁奖典礼。经过了7个月的持续推展,终于有193 名的标青的优秀学子获颁奖杯。他们所达至的成果是值得他们的家长、师长、同学和公众人士感到欣慰和骄傲的。同学们恭喜你们了!
在教育圈子里,提起“五育”大家都很清楚所指的就是“德、智、育、群、美”。就是要通过平衡的多面化教育培育出多能力的杰出人才。我国的教育哲理一向来推崇平衡身心的教育,理念当然是非常好,但是要做到可不简单。从小学到中学这漫长的学习过程中,学生吸收和掌握了多少只可在他们将来长大后为家庭、社会或国家服务或作出贡献时,我们才能做出正确的评论及肯定。我国的道德教育科目已推行了廿多年了,但不能立竿见影。就因教材的不理想,课室里的启发不强而招来学生的批评。
《光华日报》设立“五育”奖,旨在凝聚各方的力量协助华小学生从小就建立起正确的价值观,间接提升社会的人文素质。今晚的场合就是要所有出席者支持、肯定和激励我们的下一代更清晰地知道我们对他们各方面的期望是什么及他们应该如何去加强和不断积极地去改进自己。
“五育”之中常以“德”为首。这也是为什么今年的“五育”奖的重点是在德育。《一所学校、一个人物》的推荐,道德故事书创作比赛、道德图文剪辑比赛及道德/时事现场笔试都是在强调学生的品德。这些学生作品是教师和家长的好教材,因为都是真人真事和真人学生的能力表现。应很容易被其他学生所接受和学习。
从《一所学校、一个人物》 的刊登,学生们可以从中选择自己要学习的典范并开始建立自己将来要达到的人生目标和理想。有了人生的目标,孩子就不会因为迷糊而失落,接着因同类相聚,最后走向歧途而堕落。在这些特选学生受访的文章里,我们读到勤劳自律、注重亲情和尊师重道等的形容。这不就是家长和师长们希望他们的儿女或学生所拥有的良好品德吗?
人的对错行为,或能否拥有正知正见正业都决定于个人的思维、念头的取舍。巩固一个人的道德观,一定要在幼年就打下基石,正所谓万丈高楼从地起。社会的健全与否,就要靠学校的人文教育了。
当然在校内要圆满地去实践“五育”的教育旅程并不容易做到。从理解、策划推动到实践,《光华日报》已成功带领、创先和示范。因此,各校如能加以配合以此为平台,让学生们有机会互相交流和展开视野 ,那就事半功倍。教育专业组织如华小校长理事会如能把这活动列为常年活动,我相信要把它办的更贴切,高功效及更有号召力应该不是问题。
六岁至十二岁是孩童学习能力最强和接受教导率最高的阶段。通常超过了十二岁的少年已开始有独立和自我的思想。加上周遭的影响要向他们灌输价值观就会面对一些阻碍了。
教育工作者应积极推动这项教育活动以尽一份之力。加上《光华日报》的协助、鼓吹和带动,这个华小生交流的平台将会更广、更特出,强力和直接协助华社贯彻她所期望的教育中心理念、提升下一代素质和竞争能力, 适应在即将来临的多功能的工作环境中,不落人后,就是我们要取得的成果。
最后,除了祝贺获奖的同学们,也恭喜他们的家长和教师们能拥有如此优秀的儿女和学生。当然也不可忘记在《光华日报》里默默耕耘,不求回报的编辑、记者和文员们成功完成了这项活动,也提升了文教界和社会人士对“五育”, 特别是“德育”的醒觉和认知。希望接下来将会有更多好品德和多智能的华小生在完成学业后融入社会,带给大家美好的前景,给社会国家注入源源不断的清流。我以一副楹联结束我的致辞:

经过了2007年史无前例的首届《光华日报》“五育”奖比赛后, 去年2009年已开始筹备的第二届以配合今年2010年《光华日报》创立百周年纪念推行了全年活动。 在统筹雷翠梅女士的大力推动,各组评判们的不屈不挠地筛选、评定后, 第二届的《光华日报》“五育”奖终于来到今天颁奖礼的仪式。
“五育:德智体群美,
教学:文数理史地。”
“五育”是人文教育圆圈里的中心与圆周,是文明社会的始终,也是教育的一切。乖离了“五育”国家社稷就生病了。德育是五育之首,五育之核心: 其它的育是环绕德育的圆周。因此,德育是学校教育的中心部分。除了贯穿于学校的全程和学生的日常生活对培养未来的好公民有一定的作用。增强道德、集体、创意、效率意识以期达到自觉、自爱、自动趋向好好做人的目的,是第二届“五育”奖涵盖的核心。
中国传统儒家思想教育,一向讲求“五育”均衡,即“德、智、群、体、美”五方面的均衡发展。然而,“五育均衡”向来都是理想性的教育理念。长久以来,与实际不太符合。到底现今的教育是否必需要五育均衡呢?
无疑的,“智育”虽然排列第二,其实现今它在人们心中是最重要的。 槟城华人社会抬举“智育”太高了,高至其余四育都被抛站在旁边。现今的家长大多数都以为自己是教育家,疯狂地把孩子参加补习班、心算班、珠算班、智力班等等,都是趋向“智育”的发展,但缺乏其余四育的发展。“考全部A成绩就得了!”这是差不多每一个心急“怕输”家长的动机心声。把“德、群、美”育贬为在宗教布施会与周日教堂弥撒会才能学到的三个育。更把“体育”类似脚底按摩、按摩椅子运动就行了!
“学而优则仕”中国自古以来,教育都是为了仕途而出现,为了为官之路而准备。儒学高举“五育”并重。宋明理学高举道德标准,既格物又致知,重良知即重吾心。重“智”源自社会需求,偏向人文教育失衡现象。“德育”是五育的核心。有“智”无“德”实现今日科技先进知识世代良贼盗之才也。
第二届的《光华日报》“五育”奖集中在德育为核心,提醒了读报家长们,除了“智育”还有其它四育要考虑。在官方的教育部与学校,就让他们评定你们子女的“智育”与其它吧!且让《光华日报》评定你们子女的校外更齐全的“五育”中的德育,因为《光华日报》不但是你们每日精神粮食,也是你们的非官方的替代教育部与非正式的校方呢!

(槟城30日讯)首相纳吉在土著研讨会上,反驳土著权威组织主席依布拉欣阿里所提及的马来人续享津贴和利益论,并认为我们(马来人)不应只往后看,政府可从另一种方式来协助提升马来人的竞争力,走向全球化,否则马来人就会被全球化所淘汰。
他说,政府已推行了许多政策,以协助马来社群,以便在全球化市场中提升竞争力。
他强调,身为前首相郭萨发展之父的儿子,不会忘记捍卫马来人的权益,也不会因为有新经济模式而将马来人边缘化。
他表示,身为首相最希望看到的就是马来西亚团结,政府除了必须照顾54%的马来人,也必须公平对待非马来人。
他说,并不是所有的54%马来人都支持国阵,部份马来人也倾向反对党,同时也有一些非马来人是能够接受国阵巫统所领导的马来西亚。
他认为,站在一些非马来人的立场,只要获得公平对待,就可促进国家团结。
在会上,他也以“那个人”来暗讽反对党领袖安华想作首相的念头是不可能实现。
他表示,“那个人(安华)”是马来社群的祸害,不应被接受。
他指出,本身不会从后面说安华坏话,会与他正面交锋。
依布拉欣阿里:马来人利益不能被削减
(吉隆坡30日讯)土著经济研讨会筹委会主席兼土著权威组织主席依布拉欣阿里提醒政府,需紧记国家宪法第153 条文,所赋予土著的权益。他强调,马来人所享有的津贴和利益是不能被削减。
他认为,如即将在2015年执行的取消汽车入口准政(AP)应该获得展延,马来人的固打制也应维持,不应被取消,以协助马来人渡过经济难关。他希望首长可聆听马来社群的声音。
他是出席土著经济研讨大会时,如是指出。
对于首相纳吉所提出的新经济模式,他表示,马来人非政府组织并无法完全接受,因为这并不是一项完整的经济政策,而且也没带上国会进行辩论。
他认为,新经济模式内容和概念与维护马来人的新经济政策,存有很大的差异,虽然前者是项符合全球经济市场的政策,但对马来社群的贡献却不大。
他认为,政府应聘请拥有马来人奋斗精神的专家,以拟定新经济模式内容。
会上,他也以“后面”论来暗讽反对政党领袖,并直指这名领袖的意愿已完全不能捍卫马来社群。
他还力挺马来前峰报,并说,虽然这份报章虽然无法获得其他种族接受,但它是份捍卫马来人权益的报章,因此他促请马来社群给予支持。

(吉隆坡29日讯)前首相敦马哈迪医生认为,只要公平对待华裔同胞,在下次大选,必能赢取他们的支持。
他表示,华裔同胞注重的是公平与商业机会,只要政府不给予他们商业机会,可想而知他们也难会支持政府。
他是于今日出席马来西亚前青年协会俱乐部与巫统巴西古当区部青年团联办的“领导能力演说会”后,在记者会上,被媒体询问时,如是指出。
他以他本身的经验表示,当他升任为副首相的时侯,许多华人皆认为那会是一个“可怕的”夜晚,可是万万没想到,在1999年大选的时侯,他之所以能获胜,其一因素也是获得华裔的选票。
另外他在对话中也提到,如果失去华裔选票,而巫裔要想取代华裔的地位的话,就必须力争上游,做好足够的准备。
“如果我们把华裔赶出去,试想想看吉隆坡会变成怎样?假设一家属于华人的公司,我们硬把它抢过来,却不会打理,那有什么意思?”
此外,当媒体询问敦马哈迪,党员是否必须与他在致词时所说一样,在发现问题时,就必须批评领袖。

虽然马新两国领袖已经会面商讨新丹绒巴葛火车站问题,惟前任首相敦马哈迪仍坚持重新启动兴建弯桥计划!
马新丹绒巴葛火车站课题终获解决,大马同意于2011年7 月1日把该火车站迁至兀兰,并归还相关土地,而新加坡政府则补偿位于黄金商业区价值同等的土地。
询及既事情已经算解决,是否仍坚持当初建弯桥的意愿,马哈迪斩钉截铁地说“是”(yes),并表示没有这座桥,大马依斯干达计划难成行。
“我当年建议兴建一座横越马新、25米高的大桥,以便让大型船只通过,但等了两年新加坡都未给予回复;之后我又建议改建弯桥,其接棒者却取消此计划,并表示要与新加坡重新谈判有关事宜。
“他说,新加坡要求我国供应沙土,让他们填土,并且要求我国开放领空。

2匪闯理发店制伏13人 劫走逾万元及名贵手机
二零一零年五月三十日 凌晨十二时二十五分
(文德甲29日讯)两名肥瘦劫匪光天化日下持巴冷刀洗劫理发室,劫走逾1万令吉钱财及名贵手机。
这宗劫案是周五下午约2时45分,发生在吴炳花园Q&K琴男女发型设计屋理发店。
事发时,理发店包括华裔老板娘陈月琴(38岁)共有13人在内,12名是女子,只有 1名男员工。
虽然周五为卫塞节公共假期,不过该理发店照常营业。事发时,正好有4名顾客在店里理发。
2名一肥一瘦没有蒙面,约30余岁左右的华裔男子,当时手持巴冷刀走进店,即向店里老板娘和所有人么喝要打抢。
在刀口之下,女东主和员工及顾客只好就范,2名匪徒先将13人制伏在一个角落蹲着,然后威迫她们取出所有的现金和手机。
2名匪徒造案时并不凶悍,还一直“安抚”他们,声称“只要钱不要命”。
在夺取所有人的现钱和15部手机(约1万令吉)后,便叫他们走进店后面的厕所,威胁女东主13人不要轻举妄动,必须在他们离开10分钟后才可以出来。
之后,匪徒便离开现场,相信是乘坐一辆在外面等候的轿车绝尘而去。
根据老板娘陈月琴受访时指出,匪徒干案时的举止言行非常淡定,手法也相当专业,而且没有蒙面,不过从样貌看来,不像本地人。
她说,尽管适逢假期,但其店照常营业,却不料遭到匪徒盯上打抢。
她表示,事后已经马上联络丈夫,并在过后向文德甲警局投报。警方也已经在较后到现场取证,展开调查。
她表示,所幸匪徒并没有致伤员工和顾客们,只要钱财而已。
她希望本区民众和同业能够加以关注此事。
根据店里的闭路电视显示,一肥一瘦匪徒干案的过程被完全摄录下来。据悉,其中一名匪徒干案时发现店里装有闭路电视后,马上将闭路电视关上,不过,并没有拿走闭路电视。

2名匪徒造案时并不凶悍,还一直“安抚”他们,声称“只要钱不要命”。
在夺取所有人的现钱和15部手机(约1万令吉)后,便叫他们走进店后面的厕所,威胁女东主13人不要轻举妄动,必须在他们离开10分钟后才可以出来。
之后,匪徒便离开现场,相信是乘坐一辆在外面等候的轿车绝尘而去。
根据老板娘陈月琴受访时指出,匪徒干案时的举止言行非常淡定,手法也相当专业,而且没有蒙面,不过从样貌看来,不像本地人。
她说,尽管适逢假期,但其店照常营业,却不料遭到匪徒盯上打抢。
她表示,事后已经马上联络丈夫,并在过后向文德甲警局投报。警方也已经在较后到现场取证,展开调查。
她表示,所幸匪徒并没有致伤员工和顾客们,只要钱财而已。
她希望本区民众和同业能够加以关注此事。
根据店里的闭路电视显示,一肥一瘦匪徒干案的过程被完全摄录下来。据悉,其中一名匪徒干案时发现店里装有闭路电视后,马上将闭路电视关上,不过,并没有拿走闭路电视。

Recently, the company has come under public scrutiny due to allegations of employee mistreatment. Eleven employees jumped from company buildings in suicide attempts during a five month period in 2010; only two survived.[6]
Employment practices
In June 2006, allegations of Foxconn operating abusive employment practices came to light as reported by Mail that were later denied by Foxconn.[7][8] Apple launched an investigation into these claims.[9] The result was that the claims of mistreatment of employees were judged by the Apple inspection team to be largely unfounded, but the inspection team also discovered that at peak production times some of the employees were working more hours than Apple's acceptable "Code of Conduct" limit of 60 hours and 25% of the time workers did not get at least one day off each week.[10] These same workers complained there were not enough overtime work during off peak periods. The auditing team also discovered that workers had been punished by being made to stand at attention for extended periods,[11] and junior employees were subjected to military-style drills.[12]
Foxconn admitted that it makes workers do an extra 80 hours overtime per month while the local labor law only permits 36 hours[13] Foxconn sued Wang You and Weng Bao of China Business News, the journalists responsible for revealing these practices, for $3.77 million and filed a successful court ruling to have the journalists' assets frozen.[14] Some disagree with the demands and the court ruling.[15] Reporters Without Borders sent a letter to Apple Computer CEO Steve Jobs to implore Foxconn to drop the case.[16] Later Foxconn reduced the demand to a symbolic 1 yuan (12 U.S. cents), withdrew the request to freeze the journalists' personal assets and initiated legal proceedings to sue their employer.[citation needed]

Some reporters criticized long working hours with low pay and harsh management methods such as physical abuse towards mainland employees from Taiwanese managers. Some workers have complained about the monotonous work schedule and inhumane working relationships (such as one employee who had worked for half a year and yet did not know the names of his dormitory mates). As CEO of Hong Hai Precision Industry, Guo Taiming responded to the situation on May 25 2010. Because of a huge number of employees, management is difficult, he claimed, but they will improve the situation soon. Now Foxconn has formed specialized "employee care centers" and hired psychologists to offer counseling. However such a measure is doubted by the public. Some suggest that Foxconn should change its management systems, philosophy, and methods to create a more human orientated business atmosphere.[18]
On July 16, 2009, employee Sun Danyong allegedly committed suicide in Shenzhen, China by jumping off the 12th floor of his apartment building. [19] Initial reports from China indicate that he was under a lot of pressure because of investigations by Foxconn's Environmental, Safety and Loss Prevention Division regarding a missing prototype for a fourth generation iPhone. He was tasked with shipping 16 iPhone prototype units. However, one of the units went missing.
After filing his report on July 13, Chinese state-run Southern Metropolis Daily reported that his residence was searched by Foxconn employees and that he was beaten and interrogated by his superiors.[20] Sina Online News and ND Daily Newspaper both reported Foxconn's security division may have illegally searched his personal residence without a warrant, used unlawful confinement and possible physical force during the investigation.[21][22] The controversial incident placed questions regarding Apple's secrecy over upcoming releases of its products, where misplacing prototypes serve as a serious breach of protocol.
Foxconn has released an official statement apologizing to Sun Danyong's family. The manager in question was suspended and an official police investigation has begun.[23] An Apple spokesman told reporters that the company was "saddened by the tragic loss of this young employee."[20]

On February 17, 2010, Reuters released a news story on Apple and its suppliers' practice of secrecy. In the article, it includes an account of Foxconn security guards confronting Reuters reporters taking photos of an alleged factory producing parts for Apple products, while standing on a public road.[24]
After the reporter boarded a taxi, a security personnel stopped the vehicle and confronted him. As workers watched, two security guards tried to drag him into the factory. When the reporter struggled free, a guard kicked the reporter while another guard threatened to hit him if he moved. The reporter called police after a Foxconn security vehicle drove by and the security guards attempted to coerce him into the car. Police arrived later and was able to mediate the two parties with the security guards apologizing to the reporter. While offering an option to the reporter to file a police report, the police officer informed him that he is free to choose whichever option but he must note that Foxconn receives special status locally.

鵑鵑原本在美國工作,公司給她的待遇很好,再加上單身,生活過得很逍遙。
前一陣子她住在臺灣的母親罹患腦瘤,開刀後復原得很慢。
鵑鵑立刻請調回臺,找了間公寓,把母親接到身邊就近照顧。
鵑鵑不是家中的獨生女,上有大姐,下有弟弟,但是只有她放棄原本的生活,承擔服侍母親的責任。
她大姐偶爾給她一筆錢,當作是孝親費,此外很少露面,更別談關心自己母親的現況,好像出點錢就可以心安理得的把母親推給妹妹。
我們這些鵑鵑的朋友看不過去,紛紛提醒她要找大姐和弟弟談清楚母親的事。
鵑鵑保持她一貫的優雅從容,靜靜的說:
「照顧媽媽是我的福氣。」
原本為她打抱不平的我們,聽了這句話,頓時沉默起來。
難怪從來不曾聽她抱怨,自認享有「福氣」的人,怎麼會向人訴苦呢?
她總是耐著性子尋找適合母親的飲食配方和復健機構,珍惜與母親相處的時光,鵑鵑忙著張羅都來不及了,哪有閒功夫喊累叫煩哪!
在鵑鵑細心打點下,病情不大樂觀的母親,身體竟一天天好起來,
母親想要康復的意願也啟動了,甚至會離開臥房到屋外走走。
原本令人覺得沉重的擔子,因為鵑鵑懂得惜福,居然化作豐盛的禮物。
現在鵑鵑成了大家的強心劑,每當我們遇到困難,或者受了委屈,習慣性的退縮、
放棄、抱怨或指責別人時,總會想起她的話。
在我們這一群朋友中,開始流行一種句型:
<能多做一點是我的福氣。>
「孩子不聽話,耐著性子引導他是我的福氣。 」
「擠公車沒位子坐是我的福氣。」
那麼能認識你也是我的福氣
說這些話的時候,我們多少帶著點自我解嘲的意味,有時也是開玩笑,但不知不覺中
我們看待周遭人事物的態度有了明顯變化,原來好福氣也是會傳染的。
一句話 人生的成敗,常常因為一個人、一件事,甚至一句話而有決定性的影響。
尤其對人有用的一句話,勝過千言萬語。

This plant is common in Rwanda, in many offices and in homes. It is a deadly poison, mainly for the children. It can kill a kid in less than a minute and an adult in 15 minutes. It should be uprooted from gardens and taken out of offices. If touched, one should never touch ones eyes; it can cause partial or permanent blindness. Please alert your buddies.
