Nizar is rightful MB: High Court
The KL High Court ruled rule on Monday that Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin is the rightful Perak Mentri Besar, and not Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir. In his ruling, Justice Abdul Aziz Abd Rahim said that a mentri besar can only be dismissed by a vote of no confidence, and he upheld the Stephen Kalong Ningkan ruling.
Later, Zambry applies for stay of execution pending an appeal against KL High court ruling that Nizar is the rightful MB of Perak. However, the court rejected Zambry's application.
When this piece of news was out, it is reported that Nizar is on the way to Ipoh to seek an audience with Sultan of Perak to ask for consent to dissolve Perak assembly.
Nizar said he will make a request for an audience with Perak Sultan at a function at Istana Kuala Kangsar Tuesday morning.
